| Mixed-Use: Multi-Family Residential & Commercial Retail | Apartments |

1133 Huff Road, Atlanta, GA

 

This 5.765 acre mixed-use development boasts 340 residential apartments, a leasing office and 5 retail units totaling around 460,000 SF. It also contains a precast parking deck with approximately 600 parking spaces. The client was Perennial Properties and the Contractor was Moyer Construction. The building was completed in October of 2009.

I was the project manager in charge from Schematic Design all the way through Construction Administration. After establishing a good working relationship with the client on 909 Broad Street, we continued to work together seamlessly to define the project requirements, timelines, and intentions. This project also contained a large grade change, requiring extensive grading and close collaboration with the civil and structural engineers. We also worked closely with the City of Atlanta building department to ensure safety in the case of a fire or other emergency: the building is so large that a fire lane was added around the property to allow additional access by fire personnel. The project was completed on time and in budget.
