Sea Palms Golf Resort is comprised of 139 condominiums, a golf course, gym, tennis courts, and pool facilities, as well as a clubhouse with restaurant and meeting hall. The circa 1960's facilities were dated and needed a face-lift.
Valor Hospitality hired us to renovate the clubhouse and outdoor spaces and design a new fitness center. In the 23,725 SF clubhouse, we reconfigured the old restaurant into a space for checking-in, a new dining and lounge space, and a bar. We also expanded the meeting room area. The entire building received new finishes, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, and paint. It also received new furniture and artwork. The exterior of the building received new paint colors and a new outdoor dining patio. The pool area got a new concrete pool deck, cabanas, and renovated pool bar and changing rooms. We also designed a new 1375 SF fitness center overlooking the pool.
I was involved during various phases of the project, guiding junior project managers through the rest. I was heavily involved with the interior design, finish selections, construction administration, and contractor and client meetings. I also worked directly with several city building officials to resolve issues with permitting.
