Village in the City: Northeast Plaza & Buford Highway

This group project was a continuation of the Village in the City project in Shanghai, China. The group consisted of 4 students, 3 of which attended the Study Abroad program in Shanghai.
This project focused on different low density areas around Atlanta that are lacking good connectivity and other positive Urban Design traits. Our group focused on the Northeast Plaza and surrounding Buford Highway area. We applied the same organization methods that were utilized in the Shanghai Studio to see which was the most efficient framework for revitalizing the area and making it more urban. In the end, it was discovered that by selectively applying each method's framework, we were able to get a better result that using one singular method.
